Valentine Hearts
We thought it would be fun to offer you packs of 2 ready-made origami Valentine hearts - one for your loved one, and one for you!
We have made them using our beautiful packs of Medium Chiyogami from Japan.
We will use random colour papers for your 2 hearts, but they will both have the beautiful shimmery gold that is traditional for chiyogami papers, so your Valentine hearts will look special!
Each heart is approximately 53mm high and 61mm wide.
This truly beautiful paper is a joy to create origami with!
Traditionally, chiyogami patterns were hand-stencilled or silk-screened in small studios. The designs are inspired by kimono patterns, and they shimmer with gold.
The name chiyogami comes from the word chiyo meaning 'one thousand generations', and the word kami meaning 'paper'.
