Chiyogami Origami Paper from Japan

Size: 12 x 12cm.

This truly beautiful paper is a joy to create origami with!

Traditionally, chiyogami patterns were hand-stencilled or silk-screened in small studios. The designs are inspired by kimono patterns, and they shimmer with gold.

The name chiyogami comes from the word chiyo meaning 'one thousand generations', and the word kami meaning 'paper'.

This pack of Medium Chiyogami Origami Paper contains 32 square sheets: 16 sheets are a mix of chiyogami patterns and 16 are thin single colour sheets that separate them.

Hyogensha, Japan.
