What could be more beautiful than furoshiki fabric gift-wrapping your presents to your loved ones.
We have so many beautiful designs for you to choose from.
When you place several furoshiki-wrapped gifts together on a table lit with candles or fairy lights, or under the sparkly Christmas tree, they look elegant and show-stopping!
Many people ask us what to do with the furoshiki afterwards, and who keeps it?
We think this is up to you! We have customers who buy sets of furoshiki for their family, which they then use year after year.
Usually, the fabric wrapping is gifted with the present. In our thoughtful, eco-minded times, the fabric wrapping is often then re-used, either as gift wrapping, or decoration in the home.
It's such a lovely way of using them, because the beauty of furoshiki is that they absorb wonderful memories. They make you think of those you hold dear as you wrap for them.
When you wrap with furoshiki you become a part of a long tradition in Japan that valued the creation of beauty around a gift. It was believed this made the gift even more personal and thoughtful and special.
Many of our furoshiki designs hold special meanings, which convey thoughts of love to your loved ones.
And the wrapping itself is wonderfully meditative and relaxing. Like any art, the more practise you put in, the more you will be rewarded with beautiful wrapping.
I have never met anyone who can't wrap with furoshiki, although I have often met people when I have been hosting workshops who say they can't - I always know it's not true! Everyone can wrap beautifully with furoshiki with a little care and practise!
This beautiful art can be learned through our Furoshiki Tutorials, and through our demos and workshops. If you would like us to host a workshop for you, do get in touch, we would love to hear from you!
More and more luxury brands are coming to us for exquisite wrapping for their products. A good day for us is a day when we have to wrap lots of beautiful things in furoshiki styles!
You can bring these beautiful styles to your home this Christmas. If you create a circle of giving, you will always have a furoshiki with which to wrap a gift next time.
We have a box of furoshiki of different sizes for different gifts (see our Size Guide for help), and everyone wraps their presents in them when they come home for the winter holiday.
Of course, we love furoshiki for all gift-giving. We recently wrapped luxury products for Diwali, and the peacock feather blue floaty scarves looked stunning wrapping the boxed gifts!
If you have any questions, reach out to us, we'd love to help!
