This year I have been thrilled to have been asked by several luxury brands to wrap beautiful gifts for them. I adore wrapping with furoshiki, and it means a lot to me to wrap our client's luxury products in a beautiful way that will be received with great pleasure.
Whether I am travelling to wrap inside our client's office, or the items are being couriered to our base here in the Cotswolds, a good day for me is one that I spend wrapping with beautiful fabrics.
For the wrapping of Suntory Roku Gin, I sourced sakura pink organic furoshiki from Japan, then travelled into London to wrap the bottles in the office of the PR team. To promote the name on the top of the bottle, I opted for a bottle wrap which created a bloom around the neck of the bottle, but one where the text was still prominent on the top of the bottle.
The PR team behind Johnnie Walker contacted me to wrap their amazing Blue Label whiskey boxes in their own-design floaty peacock scarves for Diwali gifts. The luxury whiskey was luxury wrapped, first using their soft, navy tissue paper. Their scarves were stunning to wrap with, and the peacock feather design looked show-stopping wrapping the long boxes, with a flower bud loose knot in the very centre. The finished wraps looked incredibly elegant!
Shiseido emailed me on a Friday, and on the Monday I was in their London office wrapping their magnificent Advent Calendars for an event the following Thursday. I was using Shiseido's own furoshiki, and I opted for a luxurious double-wrap, where the box was first lightly covered with a Simple Wrap, with the Shiseido logo prominent. But the final flourish was a stunning 4-way Petal in the centre of the box.
The extra special addition with this wrap is that the guests could simply carry their gifts away, using the secure Petal tie handle in the centre.
We offer a furoshiki gift-wrapping service for weddings too: we make confetti furoshiki ring bags, table favour furoshiki gift-wrapping and bridal party furoshiki gift-wrapping.
I love wrapping with furoshiki, and I have a big repertoire of different wrapping styles. My furoshiki gift-wrapping is authentic - I learned my skills in Kyoto where furoshiki originated, and I returned to ensure that I was wrapping correctly. Practise always makes perfect, and with my furoshiki gift-wrapping you have a genuine love and care for the finished product, combined with my skills as a professional artist.
If you would like me to gift-wrap your beautiful products in this exquisite way, contact me, I would love to help. I can source furoshiki for you from Japan, and, using my professional illustrator skills, I can even design your furoshiki for you. I will happily wrap your gifts for you using your own fabrics.
I am experienced at gift-wrapping on-counter in luxury stores including Harrods, Berlin's Ka de We, Hamburg's Alsterhaus, and Edinburgh's Princes Street.
And I can even bring my Furoshiki Wrapping Station to your event!
Drop us a line, and let's make your vision a reality.
Cathy
